Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StepBlend ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StepBlend is a platform that lets you build custom AI agents by chaining multiple AI models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Gemini Flash, Groq (Llama), and DeepSeek) with tools, branching, and logic. The Service includes free and paid tiers.

3. Account and Registration

You may use the Service anonymously or create an account. To access certain features, you must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose. You may not circumvent usage limits, abuse the API, or use the Service to generate content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions (Starter, Growth, Scale) are billed per your chosen plan. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. We may change pricing with notice; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

6. Usage Limits and Fair Use

The Service applies usage limits by tier. Free tier: 10 chain runs per day, 20 single runs per day, and up to 12 steps per chain. Anonymous users: 3 chain runs per day, 5 single runs per day, and up to 5 steps.

Paid plans (Starter, Growth, Scale) include generous usage for typical individual and small-team use. To keep the platform sustainable, we apply a soft monthly API/tool spend cap of approximately $150 (roughly 900–1,200 heavy chain runs per month). This cap is rarely reached by normal users. If your usage approaches or exceeds this, we will contact you to discuss a custom plan or Enterprise upgrade. Abuse (spam, malicious scripts, circumventing limits) may lead to throttling or suspension.

7. Intellectual Property

StepBlend and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us. You retain ownership of content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content as necessary to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI outputs may be inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or suitability for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StepBlend shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
